Hey There! I'm Nishka. I am going to be graduating from the Media Management program at The New School in 2024 and this is my story.

I’m a Brand Strategist with a keen eye for inspiration in everyday things and am passionate about making wild ideas come to life. I also enjoy working on creative concepts in a group.

I love research, collecting insights and creating impactful work for brands.

I'm extremely detail oriented and love solving challenges

If I had to define myself in 3 words:

Resourceful | Resilient | Responsive

A few things that define me:

Books: I grew up with a drawer full of storybooks. Rowling, Blyton, Dickens, and Bond have been the torchbearers of my childhood, teaching me lessons, and coloring my imagination. My father would always encourage me to keep looking for a new favorite story and so, with my curiosity, my pile of books unapologetically keeps increasing. With every piece of literature I read, I feel honored to have known the world a little better than yesterday.
1
Food: This defines me. What started as a fixation on watching Masterchef went on to become a journey of exploring so much about food. Some of my biggest role models happen to be from the culinary world. I believe that food is nothing short of an art form that connects and binds the world together with something so minimal and pure. For me food has the power to heal, it is sacred.
2
Music: I learned how to play the harmonium before I could even read. Since the age of six, I have been training in Hindustani Classical Music and have also briefly trained in Western Classical Music. It has played a huge role in instilling the values of discipline and patience in me.
3
Films: If the conversation starts with discussions on cinema, chances are we’d need a lot of coffee and end up being really good friends (if you agree that Scorsese is a story-telling wonder and Frances Ha can sweep you off your feet even at the 100th watch). Every Friday I’d wait to go to the theatre and pick up another story that would fuel me throughout the week. Films helped me shape my life and now, I consider them my love language.
4
Podcasts: Human beings were always audio first. Podcasts have been a recent discovery for me, which have very quickly turned into my go-to sources of trivia, information, and inspiration.
5
Photography: While growing up, my father would always carry his camera around, even today it’s endearing to see how he has documented our lives and seized all our crazies. I love stories, especially the ones without words, creating hundreds of sequels with just one picture. As they say, a photograph will make the loudest of statements if you allow it to. Wherever I get time, my city plays the muse and I walk around with a juice box and my camera, capturing the world through my lens. Watch this.
